Construction of our digipak

My group and I designed our digipak. We sketched different drafts of our magazine advert,  audience then voted which one they liked the best (which is shown in my research and planning). From this we also gained some constructive criticism, for example, plan our colour scheme. We then went away and built and developed on our digipak. We made sure we included RnB conventions that we found they used in their digipak by referring to our case studies in the research and planning section.

Second Draft

We got some audience feedback and we changed our colour scheme and the colours of the dresses to red. We also came across an issue with constructing different parts of our faces on Photoshop as this would have taken weeks. We therefore came up with an alternative, which still included using our faces. We also changed our outfits for our poster to army clothing, to represent our unity and power we have  together, which is the sort of image portrait by female solo and group RnB artists, which is why we have such a strong pose. Below is the third draft of our digipak:

Third Draft

We then began constructed our final idea using Photoshop. We found that our ariel shot we originally planned to do for our poster, did not turn out as well. We therefore decided to use a shot of us 'Saluting' which signifies our strength, power and assertiveness, which is what girl groups such as Destiny's Child and Cherish do. We also thought that this pose reflects our outfits really well.
