My group consists of Wrenae, Loveline, Tanya and I. We had to find a name for our girl band. Below is a list of names we came up with:

We decided to name our group Soul Sistaz because it goes with our song choice, 'It's too late'. The song talks about a brokenhearted girl who wants to get back her ex-boyfriend. The song is sang with passion and as we are doing it as a group, we thought Soul Sistaz was an appropriate name.

Video Ideas:

Final name: Brown Eyes
After doing some research, we realised that there is already a group called Soul Sister. Therefore, we had to think about another group. We came up with Brown Eyes because every member of the group has brown eyes. Furthermore, brown eyes represents independence, a strong, powerful mind and seduction. As an RnB girl group, we support 'girl power', like Destiny's Child did. We also seduce but are sophisticated and elegant at the same time.
About The Song:
This song is about a girl who's relationship ended because she did something wrong and she wants him back. In this song she is guilty and remembering the past.

We decided to do an RnB song because we can do a girl group and we know all the conventions of an RnB video. We can take inspiration from other famous RnB girl groups such as Destiny's Child, TLC and Cherish.
Digipak Designs - 1st Drafts
Idea 1:
In this digipak, we had the idea of merging all of our faces together to make one face for our front cover. We would take features from every member of the group to make one.
The back cover is all of us standing together as a group smiling. This shows our unity. We will be wearing the same colour dress but have different styles.
Idea 2:
In this digipak, we thought to have a picture of the front of us dressed in same colour dresses but different styles. For the back cover, it would be the same picture but taken of us from the back.
We like this idea because it shows us united as a girl group, which is usually what girl groups do.
Idea 3:
For this digipak, we thought of taking the inspiration from one of the pussycat dolls' album cover. WE will lie down, have our heads together, creating a circle with our group name written in the middle.
For the back cover, we decided to write our track list on a love letter template as the song is about love. Then, we would have all of us sitting on a bench laughing and dressed casually.
Idea 4:
For this front cover, we drew all of us standing in identical colour dresses but different styles smiling. We would then have our group name written across.
On the inside of the digipak, would have our group name written at the top and the track list written underneath. we would also include our band website, e-mail and special thanks.
Our music video is going to be a narrative and performance music video. As the girls are signing about their ex-boyfriend and their regrets, we will see them all in different locations. They will come together during the chorus and sing. Each will be remembering a time with their ex-boyfriend and the audience will be seeing it. At the end, the girls swallow their pride and go back to their ex's house to apologise and get back together. However, the audience does not see that far in the scene as the video ends when he opens the door. This leave the audience wondering what happens and is also the way allot of narrative video end. For example, in Beyonce's song Irreplaceble, it ends with a man knocking on her door and we only see her smiling but not what happens next.
Animatic Storyboard - First Draft
We decided that we would combine all our best ideas together. The front of our digipak would be us dressed in the same colour but different style dresses. The back cover would be the same picture of us on the front but of the back of us. When you open our digipak, ont he left hand side, you will see a blingy watch which will have all our tracks written around it. On the right hand side, there will be a special offer for the consumers. On the inside of the digipak, there will also be a poster of the group. On the poster, the group are in a circle, lying down and the group name is written in the middle, with record label, feature track and contact details. Where our CD will be, there will be a picture of a face, this face will consist of features from every member of the group.
The video above is a creative way my group and I wanted to show how we chose our record company name. We decided to choose 'SoSophisticated Production'.
My group and I found a couple fonts and decided on which one we would choose for our group name. We thought about RnB and the the way girl groups write their name in order to come up with a final idea.

This is our final idea for our digipak. We spoke to our audience and presented our different ideas, from that feedback, we made a second and final draft for out digipak. We also started thinking about the colour scheme, outfits and poses we will do. On the from of our digipak, we will be in red dresses and the back of the digipak will be the same picture but of the back of us. When you open the digipak, on the right hand side you will see the special offer and details of how you can contact the group and the group's official social networking sites. On the insiide left hand side will be a blingy clock and our tracks going all around, we chose a clock because it connect with the album title 'Countdown'. On the inside right hand side panel will be a free poster of the group. On the CD holder, there will be an extreme close up of our faces almost merged together.

Our Production Company Name
Atlantic Records is an American record label which is famed for its endorsement of rhythm and blues, rock and roll, and jazz. Over its first 20 years of operation Atlantic earned a reputation as one of the most important American independent recording labels, specializing in jazz, R&B and soul recordings by African-American artists, a position greatly enhanced by its distribution deal with Stax Records. Trey songz and Estelle are two of the most recognised artists from this record company and are also RnB singers.
From researching this we can see the importance of a record company for an artist. We can also see that the names of the record company have a deeper meaning and a hidden story behind it.
The video outlines changes and alterations we have made to the original storyboard, along with reasons why. Creating a first storyboard enabled us to see which ideas we are able to eliminate, especially when it came to actually constructing our music video.
Our final key action sequences have been decided upon.
